Michael Monheit

Michael Monheit is the managing lawyer at Monheit Law, outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has practiced law since 1989. Michael Monheit was the managing attorney of the law offices of Herbert Monheit — now Silverman and Fodera — a firm founded by Herbert Monheit in 1963. He is also the managing attorney in charge of all Internet business development for the law firm of Anapol Schwartz. Mr. Monheit currently is the chairman of the Fosamax Litigation Group for the American Association for Justice, and he serves on the AAJ Marketing and Client Services Committee.

Monheit Law, P.C., concentrates its practice in the field of personal injury cases on a contingency fee basis.

During his legal career, Michael Monheit has successfully prosecuted thousands of cases; at present, he is focusing his practice on complex cases involving defective health care and pharmaceutical products. He has developed a national reputation, following his involvement in latex allergy litigation as a member of the Plaintiff’s Steering and Executive Committee in MDL (multidistrict litigation) 1148.

Michael Monheit was also lead counsel in class action lawsuits involving childhood lead paint poisoning against public housing authorities — including the Philadelphia Housing Authority — and claims against the lead paint industry.
